Bio
Michael Morgan, Jr., is a licensed psychologist in the State of Georgia. He holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Florida State University and M.S. degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Mercer University. He is the founder of GATES and is currently the only licensed psychologist seeing outpatients in Spalding County where he sees patients on a part-time basis. He provides psychological services to the community with an emphasis on psychological testing (e.g., brain damage, autism, etc.), consultation on mental health concerns with primary care providers, and the provision of evidence-based psychotherapy. He also works full-time in a post-doctoral fellowship with the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program, where he specializes in the treatment of PTSD and assists with research on the use of Medical Cannabis. He has presented at national conferences, published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, and coauthored a book chapter for school counselors. Michael is a recognized expert in the treatment of PTSD and Addiction, Cognitive Aging, and Vocational Psychology. He also enjoys work as a provider of continuing education courses for financial professionals designed to help accountants and CFAs leverage psychological science to increase productivity and profitability in their practices.
